This ‘G2’ RIIRIS402E Carry out the Risk Management Processes course refreshes the skills and knowledge required to carry out risk management processes, including planning, identifying hazards and assessing risk, and developing and implementing risk controls.

This unit it appropriate for those working in supervisory roles overseeing and auditing the risk assessment process.

This competency is a statutory requirement according to mining legislation for certain occupational categories as deemed by the respective Mining Safety & Health Advisory Committees which must be refreshed every five years. 

To qualify for our G2 Risk facilitator Refresher Course, students are required to provide a notarised copy of their existing  qualification/ statement of attainment which has been issued within the last 5 years.  

This refresher course can usually be completed within 50 minutes  – 3 hours; the timeframe is dependent upon the individual students existing skills and knowledge.  

The course includes up-to-date knowledge on current regulations and legislation, including skills ability:

• Determining the risk management process
• Indentifying hazards
• Assessing risk
• Identifying unacceptable risk and potential actions
• Deciding on, implementing or facilitating of actions
• Reviewing the implementation of action
• Auditing the risk management process; and
• Completing records and reports.
