Pre-course Learning and Assessment for the Rig Ready Course
The Civil Safety Rig Ready course consists of seven nationally recognised Units of Competency The purpose of this course is to ensure that you are skilled-ready and licenced to contribute to mining operations from the first day.

MY SKILLS LOCKER
All students of Civil Safety are given a My Skills Locker. Your locker allows you to access and retrieve your past and current certificates and statements of attainment at anytime without having to pay for a reissuance. We will automatically remind you when your refreshers and Recertifications are due so that you are always current.

Your Online Pre-course Study
You are required to download
and study the learner guides
and supplement your knowledge with self-guided online searches and study before attempting to start your pre-course tests for each topic. If you have and questions or need help with your studies please use the Learning Support button at the bottom of this page.
Your Online Pre-course Theory Test
After you have completed studying a topic (a single unit of competency) you will be required to complete an associated theory test. The completed test must be uploaded to Student Services for assessment using the upload button below each learner guide.
Your Classroom-based Practical Study
When you have completed all of your pre-course topics you will receive an email from Student Services with a selection of Rig Ready course dates that you can choose from. If you would rather talk to Student Services you can call on 07 38047723.
Face to Face Practical Assessment
Your face-to-face practical assessment is conducted at Civil Safety’s High Risk Training Facility in your chosen area. Your trainer/assessor will determine when you are ready to undertake your practical assessment.
