RIIVEH305F OPERATE AND MAINTAIN A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE REFRESHER

This refresher course provides individuals who have previously completed the equivalent course,  with the ability to refresh their knowledge and skills 100% online.

This course refreshes the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle in the resources and infrastructure industries.

It those working in supervisory and technical specialist roles. They generally work under minimal supervision to undertake a broad range of skilled applications in varied work contexts, using some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures.

Licensing, legislative and certification requirements may apply to this unit and can vary between states, territories and industry sectors. Users must check requirements with relevant body before applying the unit.

To qualify for our this Refresher Course, students are required to provide a notarised copy of their existing equivalent ‘Operate and Maintain a four wheel drive’ qualification/ statement of attainment. 

This refresher course can usually be completed in under 4 hours; the timeframe is dependent upon the individual students existing skills and knowledge.  

This course includes the following content :

  • Identify four-wheel drive specific terms, terminology and techniques
  • Plan for minimal environmental impact
  • Perform pre-departure checks
  •  Use four-wheel drive mode
  • Coordinate and recover a vehicle
  • Perform maintenance and minor repairs on four-wheel drive vehicles

Your refresher assessment must be completed in one sitting. If you close your assessment prior to completion you will have to start again, you cannot pick up from where you left off.

If you complete your assessment successfully you will receive a copy of your results by email and a new SoA will be posted to your nominated address. If you do not complete your assessment successfully you can download a second attempt word document from your resources folder in the top left hand corner of your results page. You will then need to complete a ‘SECOND ATTEMPT’  of your assessment.

Only attempt to correctly answer the questions that you failed in your first attempt. You do not have to complete all the questions – only the questions that you did not answer correctly in your first attempt. It is important that you email your SECOND  ATTEMPT to the correct email address so that your assessment attempt can be matched and verified as complete – assessment.desk@civilsafety.edu.au.
